Cascef-500

Cascef-500 Tablet is a cephalosporin-class antibiotic prescribed to treat various bacterial infections. It is effective against conditions such as urinary tract infections (UTI), mild to moderate lower respiratory tract infections (like bronchitis), severe lower respiratory tract infections (such as pneumonia), pyelonephritis (kidney inflammation due to bacterial infection), uncomplicated gonorrhea (a sexually transmitted infection), and Lyme disease (caused by the bite of an infected black-legged tick). Cascef-500 can be used for adults and children over 12 years of age.

As a broad-spectrum antibiotic, Cascef-500 Tablet works by targeting a wide range of bacteria. It acts by binding to the bacterial cell wall and inhibiting the enzyme responsible for producing peptidoglycan, a key component of the cell wall. This action prevents the bacteria from growing and multiplying, ultimately leading to their death.
